Well we’re now well and truly up and running! In the 3 months since we launched the website we’ve come a long way. From an initial idea that I thought had some legs we’ve grown LoanPlace.com.au into the beginnings of a thriving business with more visitors than I could have anticipated and way more requests for Loan and Lease quotes. This has resulted in a great deal of happy customers who have been given choices and expert advice to help them get a great finance deal. Not to mention the happy finance brokers who’ve been able to deal with serious customers.
The Value of Research
I guess it just goes to show that there’s plenty of people out there who really are just like me (that could be scary!). What I mean is there’s lots of people who want to do their research and be provided with options instead of just copping whatever their bank or dealership is offering.
Over the years I’ve lost count of the number of buyers that I’ve seen just go with what was being offered by their bank or credit union out of some sense of loyalty or mistaken belief that it would be easier to deal with someone that knows them. Likewise I’ve seen many a car buyer go with the dealer’s finance based purely on the assumption that it would be the quickest and easiest way to get behind the wheel. So it’s really refreshing to see that there are so many Aussies out there looking for alternatives.
Get a 2nd Opinion
Don’t get me wrong, sometimes there can be great deals and service to be had from dealing with banks, credit unions and dealerships, but it never hurts to consider other options. Think of it like getting a second opinion on a medical matter or getting two or three tradies to quote on the same job. It just makes sense.

Over the coming weeks and months I’m going to dedicate myself to adding more useful tools and information to the website and to creating regular blogs that answer the questions that are commonly asked about loans and financing and also let you in on the industry secrets.
